After many years of (intermittently) studying family history, only to see my findings lie dormant in a dusty file cabinet, we have established this site to provide a place where these items may be shared with others for many years to come. We hope that others will contribute to the site and that it will become a valuable resource for those researching family history.

I went to Dallas on a business trip in April 2012. Having some free time one afternoon, we were able to drive over to Grapevine, Texas where I knew that some of my ancestors had lived. Though the details were elusive, I found evidence of my family's presence in the area with the discovery of The Kennamer School on a map. (Click on the photo to the left to view a larger version. The Kennamer School is listed as #49 on this map from the late 1800s - 1920.)

While eating in a Grapevine Restaurant, we were able to find the location of the gravesite of my great grandfather, Franklin Brownlow Kennamer, and had the opportunity to visit his grave before leaving Dallas. We found his gravesite through Findagrave.com, and have become active members of this community.

So this site is somewhat of a repository...and somewhat of a memorial to those who have gone before us. Please join us as we populate the site and share our findings with others so that others may spend their time making new discoveries.

Trisha has spent the past several years homeschooling our three boys. She is a published author and accomplished photographer. She also owns Plate Breaker Jewelry, a manufacturer of unique, handcrafted jewelry and volunteers with the Tri-State Humane Society, rescuing puppies, kittens, and an occasional rabbit.
